Ghatshila at Jharkhand

Spring comes with lots of fun, with new energy and with a sweet pure smell of flowers. A very common flower which we see in India in this spring is known its local name “Palash”. The name of palash flower related with the colors of holi, a blissful festival for Indians and also its colors and fragrance gives us an unknown feeling. To see its eternal beauty with nature we go to Ghatshila. Ghatshila is considering as a hill station of Jharkhand, situated at the bank of Subarnarekha River. It is near about 45 km away from Jamshedpur Tata. (Jamshedpur is the first planned industrial city in India.)Ghatsila is somehow related with Bengali’s feelings with its emotion. We know the name of renowned novelist and writer sir Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. He spent his last life in Ghatshila and wrote some immense novel, like, Aronak ,Pather panchali which is related with the pure natural beauty of Ghatshila. To enjoy this kind of natural beauty we start from the Ghatshila station.

From Ghatshila station we took an auto and go to Suhasita resort. The environment of Suhasita resort is really beautiful. At first we decided to go Burundi which is a dam. Jharkhand state is belong in chotanagpur plateau, so we feel the ups and down of the road. Mean while we heard a sweet melancholy song of the hilly narrow river give us a feeling of purity of nature. The decorated mud houses of the tribals family remind us the story of Aranyak,a tribal princess and the meat of the porcupine(sajaru). Here nature creates its own rhythm. We crossed the narrow hilly road, another side of the road there was a deep slope. We enjoy the fragrances of different unknown forest flowers. At last we reach Burudih dam. The natural beauty of this dam is really beautiful.

From here we were go towards Dharagiri. Dharagiri is a small falls. You have to walk 10-15 minutes to reach Dharagiri. The whole area was covered with big trees and greenery. For dense forest here rains come frequently, so we face a shower of rain, which is natural in his type of place. We took shelter in a tribal hut; they invite us heartily, where we saw some roots of trees .They kept this type of roots in a huge amount in their hut. We came to know from them that these roots are used as a medicine and they sold it in nearby market.

Next day we decided to go Rukmini temple, from ghatshila we have to go towards Tata. We crossed the uranium plants in Jadugoda. After some time we reached the temple. The temple wall was decorated with different idols of Hindus gods.
